Receiving BodyTalk sessions in person or remotely could improve your quality of life. Some people perceive healing effects after one session, but Marie-Claude recommends giving yourself a trial period of three sessions to notice several of beneficial effects of BodyTalk. Below you will find a description of the process of an in-person and remote session. Additionally, you will find some explanations of key BodyTalk concepts.
What does an in-person BodyTalk session look like?
1. New clients are invited to fill out a health history form and an authorization form and send them to MC by email at least 48 hours before the session.
2. The first session lasts between 60 and 90 minutes. Follow-up sessions last 45-60 minutes.
3. A session starts with a conversation with Marie-Claude so she may understand your health challenges and goals. She will review the health history form with you.
4. She will invite you to lie down fully clothed on a massage table. She will be by your side, sometimes sitting, sometimes standing.
5. She will perform the Cortices technique to help your brain function better and to connect with your body/mind. She may teach it to you.
6. After that, she will place a hand on your abdomen, head, arm, and/or hand to listen to your being and its needs. She will work silently, using a structured intuition process, moving your arm/hand to confirm which factors limit your health and which factors can be rebalanced for your well-being.
7. Once she has taken notes on the unique priorities of your being, she will tap your head, heart, and abdomen while you take deep or long breaths. She may invite you to hold a part of your body, resonate with an emotion, or visualize something.

What does a remote BodyTalk session look like?
1. When making an appointment, new clients will be invited to fill out a health history form and an consent form that must be completed and submitted 48 hours before the session.
2. We will communicate via video (WhatsApp, Messenger, FaceTime). Marie-Claude will need to see you, and you will need to see her as well.
3. The first session lasts between 60 and 90 minutes. Follow-up sessions last 45-60 minutes.
4. At the beginning of the meeting, Marie-Claude will invite you to do the Cortices exercise to center yourself for the session. She will teach you the exercise, if needed.
5. Before the BodyTalk session begins, you will have a conversation with Marie-Claude to understand your health challenges and goals. She will review the health history form with you.
6. When the BodyTalk session begins, she will invite you to lie down or sit comfortably. She will enter a semi-meditative state to tune into your body-mind remotely.
7. Working silently and using a structured intuition process, she will identify which factors limit your health and which factors can be rebalanced for your well-being. Once she has taken notes on the unique priorities of your being, she will invite you to tap your head, heart, and abdomen while you take deep or long breaths. She may invite you to hold a part of your body, resonate with an emotion, or visualize something. She will repeat this step a few times if needed.
Do you have any questions after these explanations?
What is Cortices Exercise?
The cerebral cortex is the outer layer of the brain. With this technique, we try to “wake up” all the cells of the cerebral cortex so that they are alert and calm, as well as integrate the right and left brain. This technique is easy to learn and accessible to everyone.
What is a structured intuition process?
Intuition is a creative process that uses the right brain, while knowledge and structure are attributes of the left brain. During the brain activities of a BodyTalk session, the practitioner employs the functions of both brains.
Having learned several BodyTalk techniques and having a good understanding of various aspects of the functioning of the body and mind, and its environmental context, this satisfies the needs for structure and knowledge of the left brain, creating space for intuition to guide the process.
Why does Marie-Claude work with the unique priorities of your being?
Your healing journey will unfold in a way unique to you. As a BodyTalk practitioner, Marie-Claude perceives a unique way to untangle the factors that contributed to your symptoms, one priority at a time. We can understand priorities as the most important items on a “to-do list.” Your being (body, spirit, heart, mind and soul) will guide Marie-Claude on what needs to be released or strengthened to improve your quality of life.
Why will the BodyTalk practitioner tap your head, heart and belly?
We tap the head because the brain is the coordinator of the body and mind, and we want it to pay attention to the proposed changes. We tap the heart since it has the capacity to remember the changes we propose. We include the enteric brain (abdomen) so that the proposed changes resonate with your relationships with the environment.
Why will you be encouraged to take deep breaths?
Each breath brings energy and information to your cells and brain. By taking deep, long breaths, we support the process of integrating change and ensure that each cell receives the information regarding the proposed shift to a new healthy balance.
